There has been intensive and rapid learning happening since the early shots, but the path is still long and stretched out ahead of me.

This was essentially a lens test, but I liked it.
Jupiter and 4 moons (DSLR zoom lens)
Lens totally unsuited to planetary imaging, but I like the moons. Just look at that shocking lens coma (cones rather than circular)
North American Nebula showing the Cygnus Wall
Stock DSLR cameras filter out the deep red which includes Hydrogen Alpha, so the nebulosity is dim.
M 101: Pinwheel Galaxy
The recent supernova is in the 11 O'clock position.
Orion Nebula - M42 and Running Man Nebula
Taken with my old Nikkor 70-300mm zoom lens - not suited to astrophotography, but came out surprisingy well.
East Veil Nebula
Stock DSLR cameras filter out the deep red which includes Hydrogen Alpha, so the nebulosity is dim.
Elephant's Trunk Nebula
The 'trunk' is just above image centre, but not distinct due to H alpha insensitivity.
M 51 The Whirlpool Galaxy
